The mission of Royal Rangers is to evangelize, equip, and empower the next generation of Christlike men and lifelong servant leaders. We accomplish this through fun, action-packed activities rooted in biblical values and mentoring relationships.

Our History
Royal Rangers was founded in 1962 by Johnnie Barnes as the official boys' ministry of the Assemblies of God. What started as a small program in one church has grown into an international ministry active in over 120 nations worldwide.
The program was designed to reach, teach, and keep boys for Christ through a fun, activity-based approach that addresses the needs of the whole boy— mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.
The Queens Section has been an integral part of the Royal Rangers ministry in the New York District, serving boys and young men across the borough of Queens. Through local outposts in churches throughout our community, we provide a place where boys can grow in their faith, develop life skills, and build lasting friendships with peers and godly mentors.
Royal Rangers Founded
Johnnie Barnes launches Royal Rangers as the official boys ministry of the Assemblies of God.
National Growth
The program expands rapidly across the United States and begins international outreach.
Queens Section Established
Local outposts unite under the Queens Section to coordinate events, training, and campouts.
Modern Relaunch
Royal Rangers unveils a refreshed identity and updated curriculum to engage a new generation.
Serving Queens, NYC
Multiple outposts across Queens continue the mission of developing Christlike servant leaders.

What We Believe
As a ministry of the Assemblies of God, Royal Rangers is rooted in the core beliefs of the Christian faith. We believe in:
- The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the authority for our faith and practice.
- There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and is coming back.
- Salvation is available to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live godly lives and serve others.
